2026 Pageant Rules & Guidelines

General Rules

• All contestants must complete and submit an official entry form prior to the deadline
• Contestants must meet the age requirements for their chosen division
• Participants must be residents of the region or meet eligibility requirements set by the fair
• Good sportsmanship is expected from all contestants and family members
  

Check-In & Attendance

• Contestants must arrive on time for check-in and lineup
• Late arrivals may be disqualified at the discretion of pageant organizers
• Participants must remain present throughout the duration of their competition category

Judging Criteria

Contestants will be evaluated based on the following:

• Confidence and stage presence
• Personality and overall impression
• Appearance and presentation
• Poise and attitude

Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be contested.

Conduct & Behavior

• All contestants, parents, and guests must display respectful behavior at all times
• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification
• The use of inappropriate language or behavior will not be tolerated

Titles & Awards

• Winners must represent the Southeast Kentucky Fair with professionalism and integrity
• Titleholders may be asked to participate in fair events and promotions
• Failure to fulfill responsibilities may result in forfeiture of title

Additional Information

• Rules and schedules are subject to change at the discretion of fair organizers
• By entering, participants agree to follow all rules and accept decisions made by judges and staff
• Photos and videos may be taken for promotional use

Prohibited Actions

• No coaching from the audience during competition
• No disruptive behavior backstage or during the event
• No falsification of age or personal information
